Education Guys: Guide to Technical Education

Aviation Schools in Florida

Aviation careers cannot be performed without some type of formal education or a degree in aviation. There are programs designed for all types of professionals, including aircraft and avionics mechanics and technicians, pilots and flight engineers, air transportation professionals, flight attendants, and even air traffic controllers. Attending an aviation program will get any student on the path to career success faster than they might realize. Duties performed by professionals in aviation vary depending on the position that is held, but include working in, on, around, or with aircraft and related products and services. There are licensing requirements in addition to education for most professionals who work within the aviation field, including pilots, mechanics, and even flight attendants. Professionals will have to check with state authorities and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to see what is expected of them. Where certification is not required, anything that a professional gets will only serve to improve their career prospects. Salaries for aviation professionals vary greatly from one career to the next, but are generally on the high side of the national average because of the specialty nature of this industry. Career growth is expected to be positive through the next decade, with the highest paid positions going to those who become certified or licensed and who have the most experience in their career.
