Education Guys: Guide to Technical Education

Health Care Schools in California

Healthcare professionals cannot work in very many positions without some type of formal education or degree. While techs, aides, and related workers can usually get hands-on training or a certificate that takes 1-2 years to complete, higher-paid positions like nursing and doctors will require much more formal education and job training. Within the healthcare industry, job duties can include everything from patient care and management to testing, laboratory operation and management, primary patient care, paperwork and office duties, and so many other tasks that need to be performed in a healthcare setting. Depending on the position that is chosen, salaries will vary greatly. For example, the average weekly earnings for private industry employees is about $600, while it can be up to $800 weekly or more for non-supervisory positions within a hospital and as low as $400 for nursing home employees and residential caregivers. By taking the time to research the exact career that is desired, a healthcare student can learn much more about their future success and what opportunities they have. In the next decade, this career is expected to grow significantly, although the best opportunities will go to those who have the most training and experience. It is important to note that there are certification and licensing requirements for many healthcare workers, depending on the position that they hold and the state that they reside in.
